Terms of Service & Policies

Last Updated: July 29, 2026

These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy and any applicable engagement agreements, govern your use of GML Legal AI Hub. They define the rights and responsibilities of Clients, Professionals (Lawyers, Company Secretaries, and Chartered Accountants), and Firm Administrators who use our AI-powered legal, compliance, and financial services marketplace.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using GML Legal AI Hub ("the Platform," "we," "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable policies referenced herein. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not access or use the Platform.

The Platform serves three categories of users: Clients seeking legal, compliance, or financial services; Professionals (Lawyers, Company Secretaries, and Chartered Accountants) providing those services; and Firm Administrators managing professional teams. Different terms and access rights may apply to each category.

2. Professional Verification & Obligations

All Professionals must complete verification before receiving cases or engagements. This includes:

  • Providing a valid bar registration, CS certification, or CA license number, as applicable.
  • Uploading a clear copy of the practicing license and any compliance documents for manual administrative review.
  • Maintaining the accuracy of profile information, jurisdictions, expertise areas, and fee structures.
  • Notifying the Platform of any suspension, revocation, or material change to professional licensing status.

Professionals are solely responsible for the legal, compliance, and financial advice they provide. AI-generated analysis, summaries, and forecasts are assistive tools and do not constitute legal advice from the Platform.

3. Client & Professional Conduct

All users agree to:

  • Provide accurate, truthful information when submitting cases, inquiries, quotations, or documents.
  • Not use the Platform for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes, including money laundering or sanctions evasion.
  • Respect the confidentiality of case documents and communications shared through the Platform.
  • Not harass, threaten, or misrepresent themselves to other users or Platform staff.
  • Not attempt to circumvent fee structures, payment processing, or verification controls.

Violations may result in account suspension, removal from the marketplace, and referral to relevant authorities where required by law.

4. Cases, Quotations & Engagements

The Platform supports two engagement types:

  • Matters: One-time litigation cases or discrete legal matters, tracked from submission through resolution.
  • Service engagements: Recurring professional service contracts (e.g., annual compliance, retainer-based advisory) with defined billing frequencies.

Quotations submitted by Professionals are non-binding estimates until accepted by the Client. Upon acceptance, an engagement agreement is generated and, once signed by both parties, governs the scope, pricing, and timeline of the work. Signed agreements are final; any modification requires a new or amended agreement.

5. Billing, Payments & Refunds

Invoices are generated from accepted quotations, with amounts validated server-side to prevent tampering. Payments are processed through Stripe. Recurring service engagements are billed according to the agreed frequency until completed, terminated, or paused by mutual agreement.

Refund and dispute requests are reviewed case-by-case. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method and may take 5–10 business days to appear, depending on the issuing bank. The Platform reserves the right to withhold refunds where professional services have been substantially delivered.

6. AI Tools & Limitations

The Platform provides AI-assisted features including case analysis, legal research, document summarization, compliance forecasting, and predictive analytics. These tools are provided for efficiency and informational purposes only.

Private case data is not used to train underlying AI models. AI outputs may contain errors or outdated references. Users must independently verify all AI-generated content — including legal citations, risk assessments, and compliance deadlines — before relying on it for legal, regulatory, or financial decisions.

7. Data Privacy & Security

We process personal and professional data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable laws, including the UAE PDPL, India's DPDP Act 2023, and the EU GDPR where applicable. Documents are stored with encryption in transit and at rest, and access is governed by role-based access control.

Clients and Professionals consent to the sharing of case-related information with assigned parties as necessary for service delivery. Users retain rights to access, correct, or request deletion of their data subject to regulatory retention obligations.

8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Platform acts as a marketplace and facilitator. We are not a law firm, accounting firm, or party to any engagement between Clients and Professionals. We do not guarantee the outcome of any case, the accuracy of Professional advice, or the completeness of AI-generated content.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Platform's liability for direct damages is limited to the fees paid by the user to the Platform in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

9. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to the Platform shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. Unresolved disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Emirate of Dubai, unless a specific engagement agreement between a Client and Professional provides otherwise.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or operational practices. Material changes will be communicated to registered users via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

The "Last Updated" date below indicates when these Terms were last revised.
